Car Shopping and Work

Welcome to Monday.

We said we weren't going to go car shopping until Memorial Day Weekend but found ourselves shopping on Saturday.

All the important things we wanted to look at, or were priorities...

low mileage
good gas mileage
small car
ABS
Automatic
low cost (under $10,000)

Got thrown out the window by the 4th place we stopped.

I still that the Kia Spectra for $8,000 was a nice little car. 03 with 20,000 miles. When we were accosted at CarPros, though, that was it and we vowed never to go back to them (though I DID like, and drive, a red Hyundai) - but they didn't want to let us go. The bastards.

On Sunday Miriam finally decided that she wanted a Honda or a Toyota - and wasn't really going to take less - even though the costs, to me at least, were prohibitive.

We're still looking.

I wonder if that Spectra is still available.
